BAN vs IRE 2025: Bangladesh name 15-member T20I squad; no place for Taskin, Shamim

Bangladesh have announced their 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Ireland, starting on November 27, as part of their preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup in India.
The squad was revealed on the same day Bangladesh sealed a Test series clean sweep against Ireland in Mirpur.
Litton Kumar Das will continue as skipper after he recently returned from the back injury against West Indies, while their experienced campaigner Taskin Ahmed, who has scalped 24 wickets (2nd most) in 13 T20Is this year will not be a part of the squad.
One of the standout additions is 26-year-old Mahidul Islam Ankon. He made his international debut last year and could play his first T20I in this series.
Mustafizur Rahman, the country’s leading T20I wicket-taker with 155 wickets in 122 innings, will spearhead the bowling attack. He will be supported by Rishabd Hossain and Mahedi Hasan, who both remain key members of Bangladesh’s T20I plans.
Bangladesh squad for Ireland T20Is:
Litton Kumer Das (c), Saif Hassan (vc), Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali, Nurul Hasan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin.
