RCB’s Sophie Molineux Ruled Out of WPL 2025 Due to Knee Injury; Charlie Dean Announced as Replacement

RCB’s Sophie Molineux Ruled Out of WPL 2025 Due to Knee Injury; Charlie Dean Announced as ReplacementThe Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 is going to kick off soon, but the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has some really bad news. Sophie Molineux, who is a talented all-rounder from Australia, cannot play this season because she injured her knee. Molineux was very important to the team when they won the WPL finals, so it's a really big setback for RCB.

Sophie Molineux is a top-rate player who is the left-hand bowler. Molineux played an important role in her team last season. Molineux played in 10 games and helped the team get 12 players out. When the RCB team won the finals against Delhi, she got 3 wickets with her brilliant bowling. But after they played games against India, she was injured.

Even though everybody hoped she would recover quickly, she couldn't play in time for the next important set of games. The RCB team will miss her very much because she knows how to play and win games. It's going to be hard for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) without her now.

Dean is on the England women's team playing the Ashes currently. She should be able to play in all the Women's Premier League (WPL) games this year. RCB wants to keep doing very well in the games, and they think Dean will help to win the matches.

The RCB team wrote on their official X account that Dean is joining them. “Our champion all-rounder Sophie Molineux has unfortunately been ruled out of #WPL2025 due to a knee injury, and England all-rounder Charlotte Dean has been chosen as her replacement.”

Charlie Dean from England is going to play for RCB in place of Sophie Molineux. Dean is an all-rounder. When the team needs runs, she can help the team to get some important runs. Dean has an excellent career in international cricket she has taken 46 wickets with an impressive average of 6.91. It's the first time she's going to play in the WPL.
