WPL 2025 Season: Baroda and Lucknow to Host Matches, Start Date Likely February 6 or 7
The Women's Premier League's (WPL) third season is going to be split into two parts and happen in two different cities. BCCI are thinking Baroda might hold the second phase of the games, including the finals. The start date for the league is probably going to be either February 6 or 7. Baroda and Lucknow are the cities that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is picking from to have the games.
The BCCI hasn't made any official announcements about when and where the games will start, but they've been conversing casually with the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA). They're probably going to announce the details about it very soon.

The recently opened Kotambi Stadium in Baroda is in the running to host the matches, the stadium was inaugurated last month and since then, it's been the venue for three women's ODIs against the West Indies. Not only that, it has held matches for the senior women's T20 tournament and a few Ranji Trophy games too. With the Vijay Hazare Trophy knockout matches beginning on January 9, the BCA has the sincere intention to have the semifinals and final played under lights at this stadium.
The BCCI wants to split the 23-match WPL into two parts, the BCA wants to successfully manage with the second part. They're having the sincere intention to have the final around March 8 or 9. The first WPL season was all in Mumbai, but the next one spread out to Bengaluru and Delhi. Royal Challengers Bengaluru is holding the champion title.
Harmanpreet to report to NCA
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain for India isn't playing in the three-match ODI series against Ireland. Kaur is supposed to report to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
