WPL 2026 Points Table: RCB Women Go Top With Third Straight Win

RCB Women have made history. They have won their first three matches in a row at the start of the WPL for the first time ever. They beat their opponents by 32 runs and are still unbeaten, making them the only team yet to lose this season. Gujarat Giants won the toss and opted to chase, but RCB made a flying start despite an early wobble in the Giants’ bowling, with Renuka Singh Thakur conceding 23 runs in the opening over. Gujarat hit back emphatically soon after as Kashvee Gautam struck twice in quick succession, removing Grace Harris and Dayalan Hemalatha in successive overs.
Renuka redeemed herself by dismissing Smriti Mandhana in the fifth over, while Sophie Devine added to RCB’s woes by sending Gautami Naik back for 9 in her first over. The early damage left RCB Women reeling at 45/4 at the end of the powerplay. Under pressure, Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh produced a superb counter-attack to rescue the innings. The duo stitched together a crucial 105-run stand for the fifth wicket, rotating the strike smartly and punishing loose deliveries.
Radha led the charge with a brilliant knock, bringing up her maiden WPL fifty and finishing as the top scorer with 66 off 47 balls, while Richa played a composed supporting role with 44 before Georgia Wareham broke the partnership. Nadine de Klerk then added valuable late runs with a brisk 26 off 12 balls, as RCB Women recovered strongly to post an imposing 182/7. Kashvee Gautam was the standout bowler for the Giants with figures of 2/42.
RCB Women Stay Unbeaten With Third Straight WPL Win
In reply, RCB Women made a solid start with the new ball. Arundhati Reddy struck in the fourth over to dismiss Sophie Devine for 8, after Beth Mooney had given the Giants a steady start with a 34-run opening stand. Shreyanka Patil then removed Mooney for 27 in the fifth over, denting the chase further. Lauren Bell added to the collapse by dismissing Ashleigh Gardner for just 3 in the seventh over, and Kanika Ahuja along with Georgia Wareham fell soon after. At one stage, Gujarat Giants were in deep trouble at 70/5 in 10.4 overs, firmly on the back foot.
What seemed like a straightforward win for RCB from that position turned into a tense finish as the Giants refused to go down quietly. Kashvee Gautam and Bharti Fulmali counterattacked brilliantly, adding a rapid 56-run stand off just 28 balls for the sixth wicket to keep the chase alive. Both batters were given a lifeline each as RCB were a bit sloppy under pressure, missing chances during that middle phase.
Shreyanka Patil once again stepped up to break the partnership, dismissing Kashvee for 18, and Fulmali soon followed after a blistering 39 off 20 balls. Tanuja Kanwar fought till the end with a quick 21 off 13 balls, but it wasn’t enough to bridge the gap. Shreyanka Patil (5/23) then capped off a brilliant spell by striking twice in the final over to claim a well-deserved five-wicket haul, as Gujarat Giants were bowled out for 150 in 18.5 overs, losing the match by 32 runs.
