IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals Captain Sanju Samson Rehabbing at NCA, Set to Rejoin Team Soon

The preparations for IPL 2025 are in full swing, with almost all the big names joining their respective team camps. However, Sanju Samson hasn't shown up on the field yet. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp is currently underway in Jaipur but the inaugural champions are still missing their captain.

Samson had finger surgery after getting hit on his right index finger during a T20I match against England last month. Right now, the RR skipper is at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, undergoing a rehab period. According to a report by MyKhel, Samson will likely be at the NCA until Sunday (March 16) and is expected to join the Rajasthan camp the following day, March 17.

According to MyKhel’s report, the Kerala player is currently at the NCA in Bengaluru, finishing up the final stage of his recovery, and is set to join the Rajasthan Royals camp either on Sunday or Monday. A source close to the player mentioned that he’s been training at the BCCI facility for some time now and will be ready to take part in the IPL soon.

Rajasthan Royals will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against the challenging Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 23 in Hyderabad. This means Samson will have less than a week to prepare. He still hasn't had a proper net session since undergoing finger surgery. While stars like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and even Rahul Dravid (despite his own injury) have already joined the RR camp, the wait for Samson continues.
