ICC Announces Schedule for Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025

ICC Announces Schedule for Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025On Friday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the long-awaited schedule for the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025, which is going to be held in Pakistan from 9th to 19th April. This sixth edition of the tournament will feature four full members Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Ireland, along with associate members Scotland and Thailand. The games will be played in two venues in Lahore the famous Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore Cricket Club Association (LCCA) Oval.

The Qualifier has 15 games and will start with the opening match between Pakistan and Ireland on April 9. On the same day, West Indies will play against Scotland at the LCCA. The top two teams at the end of the league will earn a spot in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. They will join Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and hosts India, who qualified by finishing in the top six of the 10-team ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25).

“We are pleased to announce the match schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025,” said ICC CEO Geoff Allardice in a statement.

“The six competing teams are just one step away from the Women’s Cricket World Cup and I am sure they will all be eagerly looking forward to the competition. On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish the teams all the best for the tournament in Lahore as part of the build-up to the Cricket World Cup later this year.” Geoff added.
