Fazalhaq Farooqi is an Afghan left-arm fast-medium bowler born on September 22, 2000, who bats right-handed. He is a prominent bowler for Afghanistan in limited-overs cricket and plays in various global franchise leagues, such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Rajasthan Royals and the International League T20 (ILT20) for MI Emirates. His career includes significant achievements like being the joint-highest wicket-taker in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Farooqi’s future in the BBL is uncertain after his contract was terminated by the Sydney Thunders, after receiving a complaint about his behavior.
Chennai Super Kings included Fazalhaq as a net bowler in their squad for 2021 Indian Premier League. Farooqi also served as Kings XI Punjab’s net bowler in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Farooqi made his ODI debut on 25 January 2022, for Afghanistan against the Netherlands.
