India's Jalaj Saxena Makes History with 400 Wickets and 6000 Runs in Ranji Trophy

Indian all-rounder Jalaj Saxena created history during the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match between Kerala and Uttar Pradesh. Saxena starred with the ball, claiming five wickets as Uttar Pradesh were dismissed for 162. His scalp of Nitish Rana marked his 400th wicket in the tournament, making him the first player to achieve this milestone. Saxena previously reached 6000 runs in first-class cricket, becoming the only cricketer to surpass both 400 wickets and 6000 runs in Ranji Trophy history. Despite his domestic success, Saxena has not represented India at the international level.
