WTC Final 2025: Full List of Commentators and Presenters for Australia vs South Africa Title Battle

WTC Final 2025: Full List of Commentators and Presenters for Australia vs South Africa Title Battle

[ Poll: jXZJY8Lg ]

A star-filled commentary team will be calling the action for the third World Test Championship (WTC) final between South Africa and Australia, starting June 11 at Lord’s. The panel includes 11 members from six different countries. Mel Jones is the only woman in the group. She and Matthew Hayden will represent Australia, while former South African captains Graeme Smith and Shaun Pollock will share insights from their country’s perspective.

Ravi Shastri, one of the most respected voices in cricket commentary, will be leading the commentary team. Joining him is Ian Smith, a legendary broadcaster known for calling some of the biggest matches in recent years. Since the final is being held in England, the host country should have the most commentators on the panel, Kevin Pietersen, Nasser Hussain, and Stuart Broad, who was recently working with the South African team as a consultant. Representing India will be Dinesh Karthik, and from the West Indies, the ever-reliable Ian Bishop will be part of the team too.

With the England-India series coming up, both camps will be watching the final closely and not just as spectators. Since it’s an ICC event, voices like Ian Bishop and Ian Smith will bring in that neutral point of view. Their insights will be especially important, given how openly the World Test Championship format has been criticised in recent times.

New Batting Roles and Key Comebacks Ahead of WTC Final

Both Australia and South Africa have already announced their playing XIs for the summit clash, with Marnus Labuschagne set to open the innings for the first time in Test cricket. Cameron Green has been slotted in at No 3, for whom that position also will be alien in Test cricket, having batted at No 4 and 6 for Australia and recently in the County Championship at those numbers.

For South Africa, there will be a new No. Three in Wiaan Mulder as Tristan Stubbs drops down to No. 5 while Lungi Ngidi returns to Test cricket after 10 months. History beckons for Temba Bavuma and South Africa as the David takes on Goliath in a Test match week in London.
