Australia vs Zimbabwe ODIs Announced as World Cup 2027 Preparation Series

The Australian cricket team, the current champions in the ODI World Cup, will be playing in Africa before the 2027 World Cup. South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia will be hosting the tournament.

The Australian cricket team has not been doing well in the T20 format in recent times. However, they have been excellent in ODI and Test cricket. They have been reaching the finals of the World Test Championship in the last few years and will aim to reach the final of the 2027 tournament.

The Australian cricket team will be touring Zimbabwe and South Africa before the World Cup. They will also be playing a Test series against South Africa for the first time since 2018.

The Australian cricket team will be playing against Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series in September. This will be a great opportunity for them to get back to form in white-ball cricket.

Zimbabwe has been causing trouble for the Australian cricket team in the last few years. They even defeated the Australian cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2026 and eliminated them from the tournament.

The last time these two teams faced each other in an ODI series was in the year 2022 in Townsville. Zimbabwe won the final match of the series against Australia, thus winning the series 2-1.
