"Matthew Hayden Forecasts India's Early Dismissal and 321-Run Chase for Australia in First Test"

Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden has made bold predictions for the first Test of the IND VS AUS 2024 series, favoring the team led by Pat Cummins. With India currently at 172/0 in their second innings and holding a 218-run lead, Hayden foresees an early end to India's innings and a spirited chase for Australia.

"Matthew Hayden Forecasts India's Early Dismissal and 321-Run Chase for Australia in First Test"

On Day 2 of the series opener in Perth, Yashasvi Jaiswal (90* runs off 193) and KL Rahul (62* off 153) were setting the stage as they approached the stumps. After being dismissed for 150 in their first innings, India managed to restrict Australia to a mere 104 runs. Jasprit Bumrah's five wickets and Josh Hazlewood's four wickets set the tone for a competitive match.

Hayden anticipates that Australia will take control on the third day, with India being bowled out by tea and Australia chasing a target of 321 runs to clinch victory in the first Test. Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, on the other hand, predicts an addition of 80-88 runs for India in the first session, with minimal wicket loss.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 is set to span five Test matches, and the Indian team has remained undefeated against Australia for a decade. This series opener in Perth is crucial for both teams as they vie for early dominance in the series.
