WTC Points Table 2025-27: Australia Thrash England in Perth Ashes Opener

Australia crushed England in the first Test of the 2025/26 Ashes at Perth Stadium after a commanding display on Day 2. The hosts bowled England out for just 164 in their second innings, and Travis Head’s explosive batting quickly wrapped up the match inside two days. Head played an incredible innings as the pitch became easier to bat on during the third session of Day 2.
He opened alongside debutant Jake Weatherald, with Usman Khawaja missing out due to a back spasm. Head slammed a blistering 83-ball 123 in a knock for the ages as he tore apart the English bowling line-up and gave the bazball side the taste of its own medicine.
