[ Poll: 3yQ1gEyK ]

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shared the full list of players for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The auction is scheduled to be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in New Delhi.

This year’s auction promises to be huge. A total of 277 players will vie for only 73 spots in the teams, so many won’t make the cut. Among these players, 194 are from India. They include 52 experienced players who have already played international cricket and 142 players who haven’t played internationally yet (uncapped). These Indian cricketers will be picked for 50 of the available slots.

WPL 2026 Mega Auction: 277 Players Compete for 73 Team Spots

The remaining 83 players on the auction list are from other countries, including 66 capped and 17 uncapped overseas players, who will battle for 23 slots. In total, the five WPL teams together have 73 open spots, including 23 reserved for foreign players. Some of the biggest names in women’s cricket are part of this year’s auction. For India, well-known stars like Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh will go under the hammer.

The list of overseas players is packed with big names, including Sophie Devine from New Zealand, England’s Sophie Ecclestone, Australia’s Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning, and New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr. Players have also registered at different starting prices. Nineteen players are in the top ₹50 lakh category, eleven in the ₹40 lakh bracket, and 88 players in the ₹30 lakh group.

All five teams will together have ₹41.1 crore to spend in the auction. Among them, UP Warriorz have the biggest budget, ₹14.5 crore, as they retained only one player. Meanwhile, last season’s champions Mumbai Indians and runners-up Delhi Capitals will enter the auction with ₹5.75 crore and ₹5.7 crore, respectively. The mega-auction of the WPL will begin at 3:30 PM, although the broadcast details are still awaited.
