West Indies umpire to officiate Pakistan’s domestic first-class competition
West Indies Umpire Christopher Taylor, who has also stood in International games, has arrived in Pakistan to officiate three President’s Trophy Grade-I games.

The Ghani Glass v Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) match at National Bank Stadium on January 21 was Taylor’s first game as an umpire in the ongoing tournament.
In addition to this, the West Indian umpire will stand in as a field umpire in the Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) v SNGPL match at the KCCA Stadium, which begins January 27, and Sahir Associates v Pakistan Television (PTV) fixture at the National Bank Stadium on February 2.
Umpire’s Exchange Programme
The news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a press release, which confirmed that Taylor will officiate first-class games in Pakistan “as part of the International Cricket Council’s Umpire Exchange Programme.”
“As part of the exchange programme, Taylor will not only get a chance to expedite his own growth away from home but also help the local umpires learn from his experiences and observations as a seasoned match official in West Indies’ domestic cricket circuit,” the press release read.
Chris Taylor has umpired in five women’s ODIs and three T20 internationals. He also boasts extensive domestic experience, having stood in 41 first-class, in addition to 56 List-A and 53 T20s including 4 and 18 respectively as TV umpire.
