WATCH:Glenn Phillips smashed a massive six off Maheesh Theekshana

During the game between New Zealand and Sri Lanka at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Glenn Phillips hit the ball very far off Maheesh Theekshana during the second T20I. This wasn't simply any six; it went high up and hit onto the commentary box's roof, which really impressed everyone watching. Phillips wasn't up to bat for long but his massive hit was part of what got New Zealand to a strong position with a score of 186/5. Then, Jacob Duffy performed very well with his excellent bowling, quickly getting Sri Lanka's players out. This amazing performance by Duffy pushed New Zealand significantly ahead, securing a solid win by 45 runs.

Phillips mastered that full delivery from Theekshana, the off spinner during the 13th over's third ball; the man, always going full throttle, moved his front leg and hit the ball hard straight beyond the screen; that hit was so masterful the ball practically Disappeared from the cameras and it even ended up crashing on the commentary box's roof. It was so crazy that one of the commentators even cracked a joke regarding the ball almost flying through their window!

Mitchell Hay, Tim Robinson, and Mark Chapman scored quick runs in the 40s, helping New Zealand toss up a score above 180. Phillips scored 23 runs from just 16 balls, he hit a boundaries and a really good hit for six runs that nobody will forget.

Sri Lanka was doing pretty well in the race to reach the same level, just about halfway through, it felt similar to how the first T20I went. With 127/3 on the summary after 15 overs, they looked ready to reach their target but then, everything got much harder very quickly. In a shocking span of 4.1 overs, Sri Lanka's team lost seven wickets and could only add 14 more runs. This big mistake meant they were all out for 141. New Zealand took advantage of this slip, securing a win by 45 runs, and secured a 2-0 lead in the series, making it impossible for Sri Lanka to close the gap.

Jacob Duffy did great again in this game, taking out four players while only letting them score 15. First, he took main players Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera before also sending Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana back to the bench; this was just after he took three important wickets in the first T20I.
