Ashwin Fined After Controversial LBW Decision Against Sai Kishore
Ashwin was upset after being given out lbw by umpire Kritika. The ball, bowled by left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore, seemed to have pitched outside the leg stump, but the umpire still ruled him out. Ashwin disagreed with the decision and showed his frustration, which led to the fine.

Ashwin, who is captaining the Dindigul Dragons in the tournament, opened the batting for his team in the match. While trying to play a sweep shot against Sai Kishore, the ball struck his pads. The fielders appealed loudly, and the umpire gave him out. Unfortunately, Ashwin couldn’t review the decision because the team had already used up both of their DRS chances earlier, and those were used for wide-ball calls.
He was seen walking off in frustration in the end and was also seen hitting the bat on his pads in anger before flinging away his gloves. "There was a hearing conducted by the match referee after the game. Ashwin was fined 10 per cent for showing dissent towards the umpires and 20 per cent for misuse of equipment. He accepted the sanctions," a TNPL official said while speaking to Cricbuzz.

In reply, the Tiruppur Tamizhans easily chased down the target of 94 runs, losing just one wicket and finishing the game with 49 balls to spare.
