Smriti Mandhana’s Fiancé Palash Muchhal Discharged After Stress Scare; Wedding Postponed

Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana’s fiancé, music composer Palash Muchhal, was discharged from the hospital on November 26. He had been admitted a few days earlier after the couple suddenly postponed their wedding.
Doctors said that Palash’s health scare was caused by high stress and not a major heart issue. They also shared that he first went to a hospital in Sangli when he started feeling chest pain. When his discomfort didn’t go away, Palash was taken to SRV Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted because he had strong chest pain, trouble breathing, and felt uneasy. Doctors quickly did basic heart tests like an ECG and a 2D echo.
Some readings were a little higher than normal, but there was no sign of a major heart problem. As a safety measure, he was given oxygen and closely monitored. After his condition improved, he was shifted to a regular hospital room. According to the medical team, his vitals improved steadily over the next few days with rest and proper care. The SRV Hospital confirmed that Palaash is stable and has been discharged. He has been advised to take complete rest for at least three weeks to avoid the symptoms from returning.
Dr Dipendra Tripathi, one of the senior doctors monitoring him, was quoted as saying by Mid-Day, “Palaash’s condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event. While certain levels were found to be slightly elevated, there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency.”
Smriti Mandhana’s Fiancé Palash Muchhal Discharged After Stress-Related Health Scare
Palash was discharged from the hospital just after Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was also discharged from Sarvhit Hospital earlier this week, bringing some relief to both families.
Meanwhile, it should have been a joyful wedding day for Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana, but it turned into a deeply emotional and stressful experience for both families. The couple was all set to get married on November 23 in Sangli, and almost all the pre-wedding rituals were already done.
Just a few hours before the wedding rituals were about to start, everything changed. Smriti’s father suddenly fell sick while getting ready for the baraat. He showed symptoms that looked like a heart attack, so he was quickly taken to Sarvhit Hospital. Everyone was shocked because he had seemed completely fine, he was dancing, smiling, and even posting on Instagram. Because of this, Palash decided to postpone the wedding.
He is very close to Smriti’s father, so he didn’t want to continue the wedding ceremonies while he was unwell. The stress of the situation affected the music composer so much that he became emotional and had to be taken to the hospital too. Doctors kept him under observation for four hours, and his sister, singer Palak Muchhal, quickly came to be with him. Now, the wedding is on hold. Both families have decided to focus on health and recovery first. Once everything settles and everyone feels better, they will choose a new wedding date.
