"My Favourite Performane" : Harry Brook on his Hundred against New Zealand
Harry Brook scored a magnificent hundred in the first innings in the second test match of the England tour of New Zealand. He scored 123 of 115 balls out of the total 280 runs in the innings.
In the first session, after England's top order collapsed, Brooks walked in at 43-4. Brook needed to stabilise the innings and build a partnership. With calculator risk and aggressive batting, he moved England's innings and, with Ollie Pope's support who also scored a 50 in his innings. In his 123 runs, Brook hit five massive sixes and 11 boundaries. Brooks' Innings and partnership with Pope came at a crucial time, as England had already lost four of its top-order batters, and if one more wicket had lost, they would have been in trouble. The innings ' importance increased when no other batter except Ollie Pop scored runs.
Later, the Brook rated it his favourite innings among his eight centuries in test cricket, even more than his triple hundred 317 against Pakistan in Multan.
One crucial aspect of Brooks's inning was that his aggressive batting disrupted bowlers ' line and length. His partnership with Ollie Pope was 174 runs, and the stand-out fact was that the partnership came off just 158 balls.
Brooks also continued his batting form in the second Inning, where he scored 55 out of 61 balls, hitting five boundaries. The latter got out of a part-time spinner, Glen Phillips.
Harry Brooks, Joe Root, Jacob Bethell, and Ben Duckett scored big runs during the match and played a monumental role in England's win.
In the second innings, Joe Root scored his 36 test century and is now in 5th position in the highest number of test centuries. In his Inning of 106, he hit 11 boundaries with a strike rate of 81.54.

It is worth mentioning that he recently bagged his first IPL contract with RCB at a mega auction in Saudi Arabia.

Harry Brooks's hundred and fifty in the match and Root, Duckett, and Bethell's big scores in the second innings helped England set a massive score of 583 runs in front of New Zealand. New Zealand got all out in the second innings at 259 in just 55 overs, making way for England to win the match by 323 runs, registering it as one of the biggest wins.
