PSL 2026: All retentions & direct signings ahead of the auction

Each Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise was allowed to name up to five players ahead of the auction, four of which were retentions and one directly signed player not part of the league in the previous edition.
Nearly all teams have filled their rosters with pre-auction picks by spending a significant part of their purse. The following is how each team looks so far:

1. Karachi Kings

Retentions: Hasan Ali (Platinum), Abbas Afridi (Diamond), Khushdil Shah (Gold), Saad Baig (Emerging)

Direct signing: Moeen Ali

2. Sialkot Stallionz

Retentions: Mohammad Nawaz (Platinum), Salman Mirza (Diamond), Ahmed Daniyal (Gold), Saad Masood (Emerging)

Direct signing: Steve Smith

3. Islamabad United

Retentions: Shadab Khan (Platinum), Salman Irshad (Gold), Andries Gous (Silver)

Direct signing: Devon Conway

4. Quetta Gladiators

Retentions: Abrar Ahmed (Platinum), Usman Tariq (Diamond), Hasan Nawaz (Gold), Shamyl Hussain (Emerging)

Direct signing: Spencer Johnson

5. Lahore Qalandars

Retentions: Shaheen Shah Afridi (Platinum), Abdullah Shafique (Diamond), Sikandar Raza (Gold), Mohammad Naeem (Silver)

Direct signing: Mustafizur Rehman

6. Peshawar Zalmi

Retentions: Babar Azam (Platinum), Sufiyan Muqeem (Diamond), Abdul Samad (Gold), Ali Raza (Emerging)

Direct signing: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (withdrawn, replacement to be named)

7. Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen

Retentions: Saim Ayub (Platinum), Usman Khan (Diamond), Akif Javed (Gold), Maaz Sadaqat (Emerging)

Direct signing: Marnus Labuschagne

8. Multan Sultans

Multan did not retain and are likely to go to the auction with a full purse. However, the new expected management could directly sign a player before the player auction on February 11.
