PSL 2026: List of all PSL franchise owners and what they do

PSL 2026: List of all PSL franchise owners and what they doThe Pakistan Super League will expand this season with two new franchises, Sialkot Stallionz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, joining the league for its eleventh edition. Besides these two sides, which were sold for record-breaking prices, five of the six existing franchises renewed their ownership contracts for another ten years.

Multan Sultans, whose owner Ali Tareen relinquished the team rights, have been put up for auction by the PCB after it earlier decided to run the franchise in house. The team auction will take place on February 9 in Lahore.

As for the remaining owners, here is a list of who they are and what they do, besides, of course, running the franchises:

  1. Leonine Global Sports (Islamabad United)

The franchise is owned by Ali Naqvi and his wife, Amna Naqvi, of Leonine Global Sports, a UAE-based sports management company operating as an arm of Leonine Global Investments. LGS bought the franchise for USD 15 million in 2015 for ten years, and the valuation has now surged to PKR 480 million, or USD 1.71 million, for the next decade.

  1. ARY Group (Karachi Kings)

Karachi Kings are owned by Salman Iqbal of ARY Group, a Dubai-based media company. In 2015, Salman secured the franchise for USD 26 million, making it the most expensive PSL side at that time. After the ownership renewal, the franchise’s annual fee for the next ten years has been set at PKR 640 million.

  1. Javed Afridi (Peshawar Zalmi)

The Peshawar-based PSL franchise is owned by Javed Afridi, who is CEO of Haier Pakistan. Peshawar Zalmi was initially bought for USD 16 million for ten years in 2015. In 2025, Afridi renewed his ownership contract at a market value of PKR 490 million.

  1. Kausar Rana Resources Private (Lahore Qalandars)

Fawad Rana, a Pakistani businessman and managing director of Qatar based company QALCO, along with his brothers Atif Rana and Sameen Rana, own Lahore Qalandars. The franchise was bought for USD 25.1 million in 2015 under the brothers’ company, Kausar Rana Resources Private, making it the second most expensive PSL franchise after Karachi Kings.

Among the existing franchises, Lahore’s annual fee for the next ten years is the highest at PKR 670 million.

  1. Omar Associates (Quetta Gladiators)

Omar Associates, a Karachi-based construction and contracting company owned by Nadeem Omar, has owned Quetta Gladiators since 2015, when they first acquired the franchise for USD 11 million. Under the new contract, the owner will pay the PCB PKR 340 million from 2026 to 2035.

  1. FKS Group (Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen)

FKS, a multi industrial firm owned by Fawad Sarwar, who also heads the Chicago Kingsmen, bought Hyderabad for a staggering PKR 1.75 billion during the team auction last month.

  1. Sialkot Stallionz

OZ Developers, a real estate company, acquired ownership of Sialkot Stallionz during the auction last month for PKR 1.85 billion, making it the most expensive PSL franchise.
