Pakistan move down a place in the ICC annual ODI rankings
Pakistan have dropped one spot as they move to fifth position in the annual ICC ODI rankings, updated on Monday. The rankings were updated by giving full weightage to ODI games since May 2025 and half weightage to matches played prior to that over the past two years. Pakistan were displaced from fourth spot by South Africa, who have had massive success in the format.
Besides the two teams swapping places, India have lost a point in their ratings, though their top spot remains unperturbed. The rest of the teams in the top ten remain unchanged, with New Zealand and Australia in second and third place, respectively.
Unlike the ODI rankings, the T20I rankings had marginal changes. The 2026 World Cup-winning champions India remain in the No. 1 spot, followed by England and Australia in the next two positions.
Pakistan, with 240 rating points, are at No. 6 just below South Africa, who have 244 rating points.
