No Changes to India’s Batting Line-Up After Intense Practice Session in Adelaide: Reports

No Changes to India’s Batting Line-Up After Intense Practice Session in Adelaide: ReportsRohit Sharma's Indian team didn't waste time feeling sorry for themselves after losing the pink-ball match against Australia. They immediately got back to training at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday, December 10, with an intense session focused on improving key skills. Meanwhile, the Australian team took a break, enjoying some rest after their victory, believing they had earned it.

The broadcasters confirmed that KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue as the openers for the remaining matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Following them, the batting order will feature big names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Rishabh Pant. As a result, Rohit will remain in the middle order, allowing KL Rahul to maintain his role as the team's primary opener.

Rishabh Pant was hit on the helmet by a fast bouncer while practicing in the nets for India. He had to stop his practice immediately, and the team's doctors attended to him. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were also practicing nearby, paused to check on Pant's condition.

The good news, however, was that Pant resumed his batting practice shortly after receiving treatment.

Kohli Focuses on Fixing Weak Spots

In another update, the broadcaster mentioned that Virat Kohli focused on improving his backfoot play during the session. Kohli has been dismissed several times in recent matches by pushing too hard on the front foot and edging the ball to the slips. It appears he is working on fixing this weakness.

The Australian team turned up for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, defeating India in the second Test at Adelaide; they played superbly compared to their pathetic show in Perth. In both of India's chances to bat, they could only rally 180 and then 175 because the Aussie fast bowlers didn't give up. The match became very tense, with players getting frustrated and the crowd in Adelaide deeply involved in the game.

The tone of the Test match was very different from the respectful build-up, where players had shown mutual respect. The Australians, in particular, were respectful towards the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, all of whom had strong reputations going into the series.

In the second Test at Adelaide, Australia moved forward with a very aggressive approach, almost too much, and the fans at the Oval were excited, cheering loudly; they didn't hold back as they did in the first Test.
