After an amazing five-match T20 Series, India and England will be playing a three-match ODI series. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is returning after 8 years, is just around the corner, with only 2 weeks left, and both teams will be looking to get some game practice before the tournament starts. A lot will be at stake as England will be looking to test is most probable playing XI for the Champions Trophy while India was the runner-up of the last Champions Trophy. They will also be giving a tough fight to England. This article will discuss England's playing XI for the first ODI.

It must be noted that these will be the last 3three ODIs before the Champions Trophy, and both teams haven't played any one-day internationals since the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. On the one hand, England would want its players to get back in form, while India would also expect big players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to perform.
