BCCI Announces India's 2025-26 Home Season Schedule: West Indies & South Africa Series Confirmed The BCCI released the schedule for India's 2025-26 home season on Wednesday, April 2. Team India will kick off their home season with a two-match Test series against the West Indies starting on October 2. After that, they will face South Africa in November-December, playing two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

India's home season will start in October. Before that, they will play five Test matches in England from June 20 to August 5. After the England tour, they will take part in the Asia Cup, which will be played in the T20 format. Guwahati's Barsapara Stadium will make history by hosting its first-ever Test match during India's home season. The stadium in Assam will be the venue for the second Test of the two-match series against South Africa, starting on November 22, 2025.

India's home season will feature four Test matches in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Guwahati. Meanwhile, white-ball games against South Africa will be played in Ranchi, Dharamsala, Cuttack, New Chandigarh, and Vizag.

Between these two home series, India will tour Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is. Cricket Australia had announced earlier this month that the ODI series will begin on October 19, followed by the T20Is starting on October 29. For the ODI series in Australia, India is likely to send a second-string team.

Preparation for T20 World Cup 2026

There won’t be any day-night Test matches in the upcoming home season, as all four Tests will begin at 9:30 AM IST. Meanwhile, the five T20Is against South Africa will be important for India as they prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to take place in February in India and Sri Lanka.
