Suryakumar Yadav Responds to Reports of Rift in Mumbai Team After Jaiswal’s Exit
There were reports in the media that India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav could choose to leave Mumbai for the Goa Cricket Association (GCA) along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. A prominent news agency reported that the GCA is reportedly in the midst of an unprecedented 'takeover' of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) due to the 'discord' within the team.
The Goa state team gained promotion to the Elite division of the Ranji Trophy after winning six Plate-level matches in a row, and they are using the opportunity to recruit players from all over the nation. Previously, Jaiswal was reportedly approached by the MCA during the day to obtain his No Objection Certificate and make the move official with a leadership position in the team offered to him.
"Scriptwriter hai ya journalist? Agar hasna hai toh I will stop watching comedy movies and start reading these articles. Ekdum bakwas," Suryakumar Yadav tweeted from his official 'X' account.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Seeks NOC, Set to Represent Goa in Domestic Cricket
India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has reportedly decided to part ways with Mumbai, his home team. Considering his meteoric rise in Indian cricket while representing Mumbai, Jaiswal's move comes as a surprise to the domestic circuit. The left-hander, who earned his Test and T20I debut for India following standout performances in the Ranji Trophy and the Indian Premier League, is expected to don the Goa jersey next season.
“We are in discussions with several players from across the country. I can’t reveal any names at the moment. We will finalize other professional players soon," GCA secretary Shabha Desai told the newspaper.
"We reached out to Jaiswal some 8-10 days back, he got back to us after thinking over it and now that he has asked for a NOC, the formalities and the required paperwork will be completed," he added.
