Batting first, Amaravati Royals put up a strong total of 194 for 7 in their 20 overs. Skipper Hanuma Vihari led from the front with a steady 51 off 37 balls, hitting four fours and a six. He gave his team a flying start, adding 70 quick runs in the powerplay with the aggressive Manyala Pranith.
However, once Pranith was bowled by Cheepurapalli Stephen (2 for 43) in the sixth over, the Warriors managed to fight back. KV Sasikanth was the pick of the bowlers, turning the tide with an impressive spell of 3 for 37.
Chasing 195, Tungabhadra Warriors lost captain and opening batter Kommineni Maheep Kumar for just three courtesy of Bandaru Ayyappa’s opening spell. Kumar’s opening partner CR Gnaneshwar counterattacked with a fiery 66-run knock from just 45 balls, while number three Gutta Rohit bludgeoned 63 off 28 with three boundaries and seven towering sixes during their match-defining 95-run partnership.
Their 95-run partnership changed the match completely. After that, M K Datta Reddy smashed 25 runs from just 12 balls, and then Kancherla Anand Josiah (14*) along with KV Sasikanth (7*) finished the chase calmly. The Warriors won easily with two overs and five wickets left, lifting the 2025 Andhra Premier League trophy in style.
