West Indies Squad for Pakistan Test Series 2025: Jangoo and Motie Included

West Indies Cricket just released who's playing against Pakistan for the important games happening from January 17 to 29, 2025, the board has picked 15 players for the team. Gudakesh Motie, the left-arm spinner who was unable to play in the Bangladesh series, has now made the group.

Young left-handed batter Amir Jangoo has earned his first Test call-up. His impressive century on his ODI debut against Bangladesh earlier this month played a key role in his selection to this test squad.

CWI said the two tests are happening in Multan now. They first thought to start the first game in Karachi, but because the National Stadium is being repaired for the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, they had to move it.

West Indies head coach Andre Coley views this series as a great opportunity for the team to improve and grow in Test cricket.

Coley discussed what we're aiming for in the series. He said, "Our goal is to use the notably positive material we've done and learn from our 2024 experiences to achieve even better results." "Motie makes our spin approach stronger, and Jangoo deserves to be here because he's always playing well, especially when it comes to handling spin."

The team is going to arrive in Islamabad on January 6. After they land, they're set to go head-to-head in a practice game against Pakistan Shaheens for two days, January 10 and 11, in Rawalpindi. Once the warm-up is done, they're starting their journey to Multan to get started with the test series.
