[ Poll: AL78MnZO ]

Star Australian cricketer Travis Head has confirmed that he will stay with the Adelaide Strikers for the next Big Bash League season. Head has played for the Strikers his whole BBL career, starting with his debut in the 2012–13 season, where he played just one match.

Head: “Adelaide Oval feels like home and has the best fans”

After signing for another year, Travis Head said it was an easy decision for him. He shared that playing at the Adelaide Oval always feels like home. He also said the ground is one of the best in Australia and that the crowd support is always amazing.

“It’s great to add another year on. It was a very easy decision to stay in Adelaide. We’ve had some awesome years at the Strikers, so I'm looking forward to contributing, depending on what my availability is like over the summer. It makes it so easy to sign on because Adelaide Oval is the best ground in Australia, and we’re really well-supported by the best fans,” Head said.

Tim Paine praises Travis Head’s return and busy season ahead

Strikers head coach and former Australian wicketkeeper Tim Paine said he was very happy to have Travis Head re-sign with the team. He also mentioned that Head will have a very busy schedule with the national side, as the important Ashes series at home will run from November 21 to early January 2026.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Travis back to the Strikers - not only for his explosive batting, but for the energy, leadership, and experience he adds to the group. We understand Trav has a busy international schedule, but we’re really looking forward to welcoming him back into the side after the Ashes,” Paine told on Head's re-signing.

Talking about Travis Head’s record with the Adelaide Strikers, the left-hander has scored 1,394 runs in 57 matches with a strike rate of 130.40. One of his best moments came in the fifth season of the BBL when he hit a brilliant century off just 53 balls. Head will now look to add more runs to his name for the Adelaide team whenever he gets the chance to play.
