Team India's travel, baggage, and family visit new policies revised by BCCI

Team India's travel, baggage, and family visit new policies revised by BCCIThe BCCI revised new policies for the guidelines aim to ensure discipline, team spirit, and maintain a positive environment while upholding professional standards and operational efficiency during tours and series.

1. Participation in Domestic Matches

Players need to play in Domestic Matches to be picked for the Indian team or to get special contracts. The rules are must play these Domestic games if they want play for Indian team. This is good because it helps players stay proficient at cricket and helps make home cricket better. Young players get to play with the really great players and that's really wonderful because it helps them get better. If there is a any strong reason then the selectors say it's okay to not follow the rule.

2. Travel Arrangements with Families

Everyone on the team should travel together when going to games and practice. The heads and the coach have to say it's okay if you need to go alone, then they can go with there family. It's better for everyone to stay united as a team rather than prioritizing time with your family, so team can maintain a strong sense of togetherness.

3. Baggage Guidelines

When the Away Tours, they have to bring only the items that fit in your bags. If they will bring something and it costs more, they will have to pay for it yourself. That's so don't waste money and make traveling easier.

Baggage Allowance:

Away Tours (Long Duration, 30+ days):

  • Players: Up to 5 pieces (3 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 150 kg total.
  • Support Staff: Up to 2 pieces (2 large + 1 small suitcase) or 80 kg total.

Away Tours (Short Duration, less than 30 days):

  • Players: Up to 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 120 kg total.
  • Support Staff: Up to 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or 60 kg total.

Home Series:

  • Players: Up to 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 120 kg total.
  • Support Staff: Up to 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or 60 kg total.

4. Restrictions on Personal Staff During Tours/Series

When people such as the team's helpers, cooks, leaders, and safety guards go with the team on trips, it's not usually allowed. If they really have to come, the major cricket group in India has to say it is all right. They do this so the players can think clearly about the game and not have many travel issues.

5. Attendance at Practice Sessions

Everyone on the team has to remain the same time we practice. They also have to go to the location where they practice together and go home together when they end the series. This helps us all work well together and stay together.

6. Personal Shoots During Tours/Series

Players can't take their own pictures or make videos for ads when they are playing a matches. They have to pay attention only to cricket and do their job for the team.

7. Family Travel Policy

To balance personal well being with team commitments, the family travel policy includes the following:

  • Eligibility: Players who are overseas for more than 45 days can have their partners and children (under 18) visit for up to two weeks per series .
  • Provisions: The BCCI will provide shared accommodation for the player and their family during the visit. All other expenses are to be borne by the player.
  • Coordination: Visits must be planned and approved in advance by the Coach, Captain, and GM Operations.
  • Exceptions: Any deviations from this policy require pre approval from the Coach, Captain, and GM Operations. Expenses beyond the designated period will not be covered by the BCCI.

8. Participation in BCCI Events

Players are expected to participate in official BCCI shoots, promotional activities, and events. These engagements are critical for meeting stakeholder commitments and promoting the game effectively.

9. Staying Until the End of the Series

You have to stay with your team until the series finished even if you end up not playing. This helps everyone be nicer and makes sure things run smoothly and simply with the team.
