Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025: Points Table, Top Run-Scorers & Wicket-Takers After SS vs DD & SMP vs ITT

A dominant win for iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans as they crushed Siechem Madurai Panthers by 9 wickets with 59 balls to spare, climbing to second place on the points table with 6 points. Earlier, after opting to bowl first, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans bowlers struck at regular intervals and never allowed any partnership to flourish. The Siechem Madurai Panthers collapsed like a pack of cards and were left reeling at 77/8 by the 17th over.

C Sarath Kumar, who watched wickets tumble from the other end, held firm and anchored the innings with a valuable 31 before falling to Silambarasan in the 18th over. Gurjapneet Singh (13) and S Rajalingam (22), the number 10 and 11 batters, showed more grit than the top order, adding crucial runs at the tail. Rajalingam, in particular, came out swinging and smashed 22 off just 9 balls before being run out on the final delivery, lifting the Panthers to a somewhat respectable 120 in their 20 overs.

R Silambarasan and Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore bagged a couple of wickets for iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, while T Natarajan, S Mohan Prasath, and Esakkimuthu A contributed one wicket to the downfall. In reply, Amit Sathvik and Tushar Raheja came out all guns blazing, giving iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans a flying start. The duo quickly put the game beyond the Panthers' reach. Although Murugan Ashwin dismissed Tushar for 40, the damage had already been done, with the openers adding 91 runs by the eighth over. Sathvik went on to score a commanding unbeaten 68, while Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore remained not out on 10, guiding their side to a thumping victory with 59 balls to spare.

SS vs DD: Varun Chakaravarthy Seals Last-Ball Thriller as Dindigul Dragons Edge Salem Spartans

Varun Chakaravarthy wins the game for the Dindigul Dragons on the final ball of the match. The Dragons beat the Salem Spartans by two wickets to get back to winning ways. Incredible scenes here as the Dindigul players storm onto the field to hug Varun, who has done it for them. Ravichandran Ashwin and Shivam Singh gave a blazing start to the Dragons while chasing 189. They scored 57 at a rapid rate before Ashwin fell on a 14-ball 36. Baba Indrajith got run out on four on the final ball of the powerplay as the scoreboard read 70/2 after six overs. Maan K Bafna departed cheaply on three.

Shivam (34) and R.K. Jayant (25) looked good at the crease but failed to convert their starts into big scores. R Vimal Khumar (24) and Hunny Saini (35) kept their side in the hunt but fell at the wrong time. M Karthik Saran departed 12 in the final over. The equation went down to 8 from 2, and M Poiyamozhi bowled a no-ball. Varun Chakaravarthy hit a six to bring the equation down to one from one. He hit a four on the final ball to win it for the Dragons.

Earlier, the Spartans got off to a steady start. They lost R Kavin (1), C Hari Nishaanth (10), and skipper S Abishiek (15) cheaply. Nidhish Rajagopal held the innings nicely from one end. Sunny Sandhu played a decent cameo of 14-ball 25 before falling in the 11th over. Rajendran Vivek joined Rajagopal and changed the complexion of the innings. Rajagopal and Vivek played aggressively and continued their onslaught. Both Rajagopal (74 off 47) and Vivek (35 off 20) put a sensational stand of 80 for the fifth wicket, which powered the Spartans to 188/7 at the end of their innings. Ravichandran Ashwin (3/22) bowled beautifully for the Dragons, but the others went on a journey.
