Shreyas Iyer Gets BCCI Fitness Nod, Available for Full New Zealand ODI Series

Shreyas Iyer has been declared completely fit by the BCCI CoE. He has been picked in the ODI series for India against New Zealand, but his inclusion is subject to his final fitness clearance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2025-26.

He played as the number 4 Position, scored 82 runs from 53 deliveries to pace Mumbai to a strong position under his captaincy in the match against Himachal Pradesh. The BCCI wanted his limbs to be able to take up the pressure of competitive cricket. He is believed to take the ultimate test on January 8 when his side is due to face Punjab. He has already proved enough for the CoE medical team now.

According to Abhishek Tripathi from Dainik Jagran, CoE head VVS Laxman has informed the chief selector Ajit Agarkar that Shreyas is ready to be play into the ODI series between India and New Zealand.
