Shikhar Dhawan Named Brand Ambassador for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has been appointed as one of the brand ambassadors for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He joins an elite group of ambassadors that includes former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, former Australian star all-rounder Shane Watson, and New Zealand’s fast bowler Tim Southee.
Dhawan’s new ambassador role highlights his impact on cricket, backed by years of consistent performances. He played a key role for the Indian team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 by scoring 338 runs in just five innings. In August 2024 he announced his retirement from international cricket. But he recently impressed fans with his performances in the Nepal Premier League.
Dhawan said, “It is such a special feeling to be part of a Champions Trophy, and to be given the opportunity to enjoy the upcoming edition as an Ambassador is an honour, over the next few weeks, we’ll see the best sides in the world competing for the white jackets knowing that one mistake or one loss could spell the end of their hopes.”
