Champions Trophy 2025: Latest Updated Team Squads

Champions Trophy 2025: Latest Updated Team SquadsIt is time for cricket fans to be excited, the ICC Champions Trophy is returning. The tournament was suspended after Pakistan beat India in the final in 2017 in England. Now, after many years and some modifications, it is returning. There was a lot of debate on where the matches would be held. Finally, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that India’s matches will be in Dubai and the rest of the games will be in Pakistan with the venues in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

The 15-match tournament is back for eight teams and each of them wants to win the hearts of the fans. India and Pakistan have recently announced their squad, as well as all other participating nations. The squads for the Champions Trophy 2025 have been discussed further in this article.

As the tournament gets closer, many teams are struggling with missing key players due to injuries and personal reasons. Australia has been hit hard, as fast bowlers Pat Cummins (ankle injury), Josh Hazlewood (hip issue), and Mitchell Starc (personal reasons) are all unavailable. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh is also out with an injury and Marcus Stoinis has recently retired from ODI cricket.

A blow for India as their star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out due to a lower back injury. Harshit Rana has been named as his replacement.

Fast bowler Anrich Nortje will be missing for South Africa because of a back injury.

After suffering a hamstring injury in the ODI series against India, Jacob Bethell is also ruled out. Tom Banton has been called up as his replacement.

These missing players will surely affect team plans as they compete for the Champions Trophy.
