Rohit Sharma Smashes 62-Ball Century on Vijay Hazare Trophy Comeback After 7 Years

Rohit Sharma made a strong comeback to the Vijay Hazare Trophy after seven years by scoring a century in just 62 balls. He achieved this for Mumbai in their match against Sikkim in Jaipur on Wednesday. With Mumbai chasing 237, Rohit opened the batting, walking out in front of a packed crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Rohit Smashes Rapid Century After Seven-Year Gap

The 38-year-old took on the bowlers straight away, completing his century in 62 balls with eight fours and as many sixes. It was second-ever century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and his fastest ton in Lisa A cricket, bettering his 63-ball ton against Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Rohit’s last Vijay Hazare Trophy appearance was in the 2018-19 season’s semifinal when he scored 17. His only other century in the tournament against Tamil Nadu in 2008, when he had scored 100 off 89 balls.
