A great performance by Rinku Singh and some excellent bowling from KKR helped them win a thrilling Super Over match against LSG.With this win, Kolkata Knight Riders move up to 8th place, while Lucknow Super Giants stay at the bottom of the table with just 4 points.

LSG won the toss and invited Kolkata to bat first. It wasn't the best of starts again for KKR losing 7 wickets for 93 in 15 overs but the finisher Rinku Singh smashed 7 fours and 5 sixes to hit an unbeaten 83 off 51 deliveries to help them deposit 155/7 in 20 overs, a fighting total and then sealed the game first ball in the Super Over.

Vaibhav Arora (2/24) was the pick of the bowlers and sent opener Mitchell Marsh on the first ball of his spell. Skipper Rishabh Pant (42 off 38) and Aiden Markram (31 off 27) added 57 runs for the 2nd wicket. Cameron Green broke the stand dismissing Markram in the 11th over. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy joined forces once again in the middle overs to share combined 8 over figures of 3/56. Every single KKR bowler at least picked up a wicket.

Tasked to defend 17 runs in the final over, Kartik Tyagi made a meal of it bowling 2 above waist full tosses but picked up the crucial wicket of Himmat Singh (19 off 10) leaving 7 runs to win off 2 deliveries. Mohammed Shami missed the 5th ball but connected the last ball brilliantly to clear the fence for six runs taking the game to the Super Over.

Sunil Narine was tasked to bowl for KKR, he clean bowled Nicholas Pooran for a golden duck, conceded a single to Rishabh Pant and then had Aiden Markram caught by Rinku to dismiss LSG for just 1. It needed Rinku Singh only 1 Prince Yadav delivery to carve towards the point boundary and seal an exciting win on his domestic home ground.
