
Rinku Singh Expresses Excitement After KKR Retains Him for INR 13 Crore in IPL 2025
Rinku Singh has expressed his enthusiasm following Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) decision to retain him for INR 13 crore ahead of IPL 2025. The three-time champions revealed their list of retained players, which also includes Varun Chakravarthy (INR 12 crore), Sunil Narine (INR 12 crore), Andre Russell (INR 12 crore), Harshit Rana (INR 4 crore), and Ramandeep Singh (INR 4 crore).
Since joining KKR in 2018, Rinku has emerged as a key player for the franchise. In an Instagram post, he shared his thoughts on the retention: “Humaari prem kahaani toh abhi bass shuru hui hai. Picture abhi baaki hai mere doston.” (Our love story has just started. The movie is not over yet, my friends.)
In his 46 appearances for KKR, the left-handed batsman has scored 893 runs at an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.33, including four half-centuries. During IPL 2023, he excelled with 474 runs at an impressive average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52, also hitting four half-centuries. Notably, he clinched a dramatic victory for Kolkata by hitting five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal's over against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
