“Ravindra Jadeja Lacked Courage”: Former Pakistan Players Criticize Indian All-Rounder After Lord’s Test Defeat
Former Pakistan players Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal have voiced their disapproval of Ravindra Jadeja's performance in the recent Test match at Lord's. Jadeja's knock, though a mature innings of 61 not out, was not enough to secure a victory for India against England. England and India both posted 387 in their first innings, but the hosts were bowled out for 192 in their second innings. England restricted India and emerged victorious by 22 runs.

Kamran Akmal specifically criticized Jadeja's shot selection, stating, “Jadeja should have taken his chances. He lacked the confidence to hit the ball down the ground and missed opportunities against Joe Root and Shoaib Bashir. A bit more courage and game awareness could have won the game for India.” Basit Ali echoed similar sentiments, referencing advice from Javed Miandad on hitting boundaries with tailenders when the field comes up.
Ben Stokes was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. Joe Root and KL Rahul both scored centuries, while Jasprit Bumrah took a five-wicket haul. Bumrah is likely to be rested for the upcoming game to manage his workload.
