Alana King was instrumental in the Scorchers' success, contributing a vital 23 off 15 balls, coming to the rescue at No. 8 after a batting collapse orchestrated by Milly Illingworth and Hayley Matthews, who both took two wickets for 15 runs. Alice Capsey's impressive 5 for 25 helped dismiss the Scorchers for only 108.

Despite a strong bowling performance, the Renegades' batting lineup failed to capitalize, with wickets tumbling throughout their innings. Chasing 109, they were restricted to 106 for 8, unable to find the boundary in the crucial last three overs, needing 15 runs.
