IPL 2025 Points Table: Team Rankings After GT vs RR Match

Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a brilliant hundred to help Rajasthan Royals grab a big eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This win keeps their playoff hopes alive in IPL 2025. Thanks to this important victory, RR have now moved up to eighth place in the points table.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans missed a big opportunity to go to the top of the points table after their heavy eight-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals. The loss pushed GT down from second to third place, while Mumbai Indians moved up to second. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru jumped to the top after beating Delhi Capitals by six wickets.

The Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru now have 14 points from 10 matches and have been unstoppable on the road, winning all six of their away games this season.

After being asked to bat first, Gujarat Titans got off to a solid start with skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan putting together a 93-run stand for the second wicket. They scored 53 runs in the powerplay to give GT a strong base. Rajasthan Royals got their first breakthrough when Mahesh Theekshana dismissed Sudharsan for 39 off 30 balls. After that, Jos Buttler went after Wanindu Hasaranga, smashing 24 runs in a single over with three sixes and a four. Buttler stayed unbeaten on 50 from just 26 balls, hitting five fours and four sixes, and along with small contributions from Washington Sundar and Rahul Tewatia, helped Gujarat post a total of over 200.
