IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings Announced FedEx as its New Principal Sponsor

In an event that happened in Chennai today, the IPL team at Chennai Super King announced its new principal sponsor, FedEx, in a multi-year deal. The franchise also announced that its partnership with FedEx would extend to its team in the SA20 league, the Johannesburg Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings and Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), a global transportation company, have signed a multi-year agreement to be the principal sponsor and official logistics partner for the IPL team Chennai Super Kings. After the deal, FedEx will use its global network and advanced digital tools to transport team kits, match equipment, and official materials from India to Johannesburg, along with the players of both teams.

In its press release, the company added, “The association with the Super Kings further strengthens FedEx's ties to high-profile sports, blending the excitement of cricket with the company's hallmark values of trust and reliability.”

Chennai Super Kings CEO KS Viswanathan said,

The global presence and reputation FedEx has for innovation makes them an ideal partner as we take the Super Kings’ story to new horizons. Together, we hope to deliver unforgettable moments both on and off the field.”

The franchise and FedEx deal will not be limited to just the Indian Premier League; their partnership with FedEx group will extend to its other team in the SA20 league, aur Johannesburg Super Kings, under an arrangement with FedEx Airlines, who will be the team's Principal sponsor in the upcoming seasons. 

After an average season last year, finishing in fifth place, the five-time IPL champion has gathered some experienced and young players for the upcoming season and many former CSK players in the recent mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
