India vs Australia Highlights, 2nd T20I: Australia Outclass India by 4 Wickets Despite Abhishek Sharma’s Fighting 68 runs

India were defeated by hosts Australia by four wickets in the Melbourne T20I. With the exception of Abhishek Sharma (68), the Indian batsmen struggled. Harshit Rana (35) was the only other batsman to reach double figures. Josh Hazlewood broke India's back early in the match by taking three wickets. He exhausted his bowling quota in the powerplay, and Nathan Ellis took another wicket in the other.
India failed to recover from this, losing five batsmen to just 49. Shivam Dubey was then benched and Harshit Rana (35) was sent in to bat. He batted brilliantly for the under-pressure Indian team. He and Abhishek Sharma shared a 56-run partnership, keeping India at bay for nearly eight overs.

But when Harshit was caught by Xavier Bartlett in an attempt to score quick runs, all-rounder Shivam Dubey (4) also failed to make much of a difference. The target of 126 was easy, and Australia made quick work of the chase. Travis Head (28) and Mitchell Marsh (46) got off to a blistering start, taking the team's score past 50 by the fifth over of the innings. Head was dismissed by Varun Chakravarthy in the same over. But Marsh wasn't in the mood to stop there.

Australia had added 90 runs for the loss of three wickets by the ninth over. Then, when the remaining runs seemed a mere formality, India took three more wickets, delaying their defeat by a few more balls. But the Kangaroos won the match with 40 balls to spare.
