IND vs WI 2nd Test Day 4: Bumrah, Kuldeep Take Three Wickets, Hope and Campbell Hit Hundreds; India Need 58 Runs to Win

The Indian bowling attack faced a tough test on the cold pitch of the subcontinent, but they prevailed and are on the verge of a 2-0 clean sweep over the hosts West Indies on the fourth day of the second Test on Monday. Chasing a target of 121 runs at stumps, India needed 58 more runs on the final day to win the match.
Bumrah, Kuldeep shine on Day 4, Hope and Campbell hit hundreds
Jasprit Bumrah (3 wickets for 44 runs in 17.5 overs), Kuldeep Yadav (3 wickets for 104 runs in 29 overs), Ravindra Jadeja (1 wicket for 102 runs in 33 overs), Mohammad Siraj (2 wickets for 43 runs in 15 overs) and Washington Sundar (1 wicket for 80 runs in 23 overs) toiled for more than 118.5 overs in the second innings. They eventually bowled out the West Indies for 390, leaving the home team with a target of 121 runs in 18 overs remaining on the fourth day.
KL Rahul (batting on 25 runs) and Sai Sudarshan (batting on 30 runs) looked comfortable, but they did not take much risk after Yashasvi Jaiswal (8) was dismissed in the deep. It came after a decisive second-ball strike by Siraj, after which Kuldeep Yadav destroyed the lower middle order and the Indian bowlers found their rhythm in the post-lunch session on the fourth day.
Exquisite timing 👌

John Campbell (115 off 199 balls) and Shai Hope (103 off 214 balls) added 177 runs for the third wicket to show the Caribbean team's combativeness, but the patience of the Indian bowlers responded on the second new ball after lunch as Jaden Seals (32) and Justin Greaves (50 not out) added 79 runs for the final wicket. Reached the fifth day. The only consolation in this match for the West Indies was the two centuries that forced India to bat for the second time.
The Indian bowling unit can rest assured that they had to bowl for long periods in two innings in conditions that were neither conducive to spin nor to fast bowlers. Feroze Shah Kotla's pitch did not show any damage even on the fourth day. The balls were low and it proved difficult for the West Indies batsmen, but that was because of their poor shots and not because of some dream balls.

The match was so dull that even the broadcasters were not showing much interest in analyzing the ongoing match and asked their analysts to focus on the ODI series against Australia starting this Sunday. In the morning, Campbell hit a slog sweep six off Ravindra Jadeja to complete his first Test century in 25 matches. With no particular edge to the pitch, playing the spinners was an easy task for the batsmen, who were batting quite comfortably until Campbell lost his mental composure.
