IND vs ENG 2nd Match Highlights: Rohit Sharma's Century Seals Series Win for India Against England
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front with a brilliant century as India defeated England by four wickets in the second ODI at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. With this victory, India clinched the three-match series, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead.
England Posts 304 Runs with Collective Batting Effort
After England bat first, England got a solid start as openers Phil Salt and Ben Duckett built a quick 81-run partnership in just 10.5 overs. Duckett played an attacking knock, scoring 65 runs off 56 balls, and hitting 10 boundaries.
Following his dismissal, Joe Root anchored the innings, top-scoring with 69 off 72 balls, including six boundaries. In the middle order, Harry Brook scored 31 off 52 and skipper Jos Buttler scored 34 off 35 chipped in with handy contributions, while Liam Livingstone provided the finishing touch with a quickfire 41 off 32 balls.
For India, Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy, Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana, and Mohammed Shami took up a wicket each as England was bowled out for 304 in 49.5 overs.
Rohit Sharma Leads from the Front with a Fiery Century
Chasing 305, India got off to a fantastic start with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scoring together a strong 136-run partnership in just 16.4 overs. Gill looked in great form, playing some beautiful shots on his way to 60 off 52 balls before getting out.

Virat Kohli got out early for just five runs, but Rohit Sharma stepped up. The Indian captain played an incredible knock, hitting boundaries all around the ground. He scored his 32nd ODI century in just 76 balls.
Rohit’s magnificent innings came to an end at 119 off 90 balls, studded with 12 fours and seven sixes. Shreyas Iyer scored 44 runs from 47 balls before getting out, while Axar Patel stayed calm and unbeaten with 41 runs off 43 balls. Their partnership helped India comfortably chase the target, winning by six wickets in 44.3 overs.
