The ODI series was being played between India A and South Africa A. India won the first two matches of the series and secured the series, but they lost the third match. The other opener, Rivaldo Moonsamy, played a crucial innings of 107 runs off 130 balls, hitting 13 fours and two sixes. The Indian batsmen failed to hold their ground.
India A faced a daunting target, but it became even more challenging when opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed cheaply. He scored only 11 runs off eight balls. Tilak Verma, Riyan Parag, and Ruturaj Gaikwad also failed to score. Although Ishan Kishan and Ayush Badoni raised hopes, they were unable to lead the team to victory.
