After last week’s rain-hit draw, India A and Australia A will meet again in Lucknow for another multi-day game starting Tuesday.

In the previous match at the Ekana Stadium, Shreyas Iyer’s men were tested after Australia A piled up a huge 532/7 declared. But India A hit back strongly, thanks to centuries from vice-captain and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel and opener Devdutt Padikkal. Their efforts meant India A declared on the final day, finishing just one run short of the visitors.

This time, there could be some changes in the team. Senior players KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj are expected to join the squad, while Iyer will be looking to use this game to push for a return to India’s Test side ahead of the home series in October.
