GT vs CSK Highlights, IPL 2025: CSK Seal 83-Run Victory Over Gujarat Titans

GT vs CSK Highlights, IPL 2025: CSK Seal 83-Run Victory Over Gujarat TitansChennai Super Kings (CSK) ended their IPL 2025 season on a strong note with a big 83-run win over Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 25. Devon Conway (52) and Dewald Brevis (57) scored fifties to help CSK reach a huge total of 230/5 in 20 overs. The bowlers then did a great job br eaking GT’s batting lineup. The home team could only score 147 before being all out.

Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad each grabbed three wickets and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with two more as GT’s batting simply fell apart. It didn’t really shake up the standings GT stayed top with 18 points, while CSK finished last on eight. But this loss has made GT’s push for a top-two finish a lot harder.

Mhatre, Conway, and Brevis Power CSK to Big Total Against GT

CSK won the toss and chose to bat first. Seventeen-year-old Ayush Mhatre gave them a flying start with a quick 34 off 17 balls. Prasidh Krishna eventually broke that opening stand in the fourth over, but Devon Conway and Urvil Patel picked up the pace. Conway hit a classy 52, while Urvil contributed a handy 37 nudging CSK close to 150. Dewald Brevis then took over, smashing 57 from just 23 deliveries to push the total to a massive score. For GT, only five wickets fell with Krishna th eir standout bowler finishing with 2 for 22 in his four overs.

GT’s Powerplay Collapse Fuels CSK’s Commanding Victory

In reply, GT’s batting struggled right from the start. They lost captain Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford in back-to-back overs and were reduced to 30/3 in the powerplay. Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh Khan tried to rebuild the innings, but both were dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja in the 11th over.

A quick 20 from Arshad Khan towards the end helped GT reach a decent total of 147, but they were bowled out soon after. CSK sealed their biggest win of the season with an 83-run margin. While the result didn’t help CSK climb off the bottom of the table, it dealt a big blow to GT’s hopes of finishing in the top two. The race for those spots is still wide open with four teams in contention.
