Dewald Brevis, often nicknamed "Baby AB" for his resemblance in playing style to AB de Villiers, is a prominent South African all-rounder who plays as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm leg-break bowler. As of late 2025, he has made his debut in all three international formats for South Africa.
Dewald Brevis will play for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2026 season. He was retained by the team after initially being signed as a replacement player in the 2025 season.

Highest T20 Score: Smashed 162 runs off just 57 balls for the Titans in October 2022, which stands as the highest T20 score in South Africa.
International Breakthrough: Made his Test debut in June 2025 against Zimbabwe, where he scored a quickfire half-century. In August 2025, he scored an unbeaten 125* off 56 balls in a T20I against Australia, breaking the record for the highest individual score by a South African in T20Is.
