Full Schedule Unveiled for the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup - A Feast of Cricket Awaits

The 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup is set to captivate cricket enthusiasts with a stellar lineup of top teams, exceptional players, and unforgettable moments, all hosted on home soil in England for the first time since 2009.

The tournament, which promises to be the most significant Women's T20 World Cup yet, will feature 12 teams competing over 24 days in 33 matches across seven iconic venues. Kicking off on Friday, June 12, the opening match will see hosts England face Sri Lanka under the lights at Edgbaston. England, who last won the title in 2009 on home soil, will be aiming to reclaim the trophy. All of England's group matches will be played in Group 2.

Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt expressed her excitement, saying, "World Cups are always special, but this one already feels like it could change the game. Playing at home, for such a big prize, in front of our fans will be an amazing experience."

Group 1 is set to deliver some thrilling clashes, featuring six-time champions Australia, 2024 runners-up South Africa, arch-rivals India and Pakistan, and two qualifier teams. A major highlight will be the match between Australia and India at Lord's on June 28, part of a double-header that also includes South Africa playing one of the qualifiers.

The knockout phase will take place in London, with The Oval hosting the semi-finals on June 30 and July 2. The final will be held at Lord's on July 5. Other key venues include Old Trafford, Headingley, Bristol, and the Utilita Bowl in Southampton, all set to stage world-class cricket.

Tournament Director Beth Barrett-Wild emphasized the event's potential impact, saying, "This World Cup is a huge chance to inspire people and help grow women's cricket. We want to give the sport the platform it deserves and create lasting change."

Fans across the UK are eagerly anticipating the tournament, looking forward to seeing some of the world's best cricketers in action. The event promises to deliver thrilling matches and memorable moments, aiming to inspire, entertain, and raise the bar for women's cricket like never before.
