First batch of Australian players reach Pakistan for ODI series

The first group of Australia men's national cricket team players set to play against Pakistan in a three-match ODI series have reached Pakistan, as confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board official social media handle.
“First batch of Australia team arrives in Islamabad,” the PCB said in a post on X.
“The three-match #PAKvAUS ODI series will begin on 30 May.”
The series, which will start on May 30 with the first ODI in Rawalpindi, will be the first time the two teams will face each other in a bilateral series since 2022. Additionally, Australia will play an ODI in Rawalpindi for the first time since 1994.
Australia have sent a patchwork squad for the three-match ODI series, with their regulars busy with the Indian Premier League. The Big Three of the side, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, would have been rested anyway since Australia are scheduled to face Bangladesh in a Test series shortly after the Pakistan tour.
