England have now lost six of their last seven ODI series since the 2023 World Cup. South Africa have already sealed the series 2-0 with one match still to go. The third and final game will be played on Sunday, September 7, at 3:30 PM IST at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.

England showed some fight compared to the first ODI, with a few strong batting efforts, but they still couldn’t finish the job. In the end, South Africa held their nerve and came out on top. This is only the second time the Proteas have won an ODI series on English soil.
